Maja Matevžič (born June 13, 1980, Ljubljana) is a former professional WTA tennis player from Slovenia. Both her most recent WTA singles and WTA doubles matches were played on 21 August 2005 at Toronto. According to a user on TennisForum.com, a news report said she is working on a return.
Maja retired because of the injuries in September 2006. Her last tournament was in Portorož, Slovenia, where she played doubles with Tina Križan.
Maja is now opening a tennis school in Slovenia. She will pass on her knowledge to boys and girls in Slovenia.
